FTP TUTORIAL

First you’ll need a host. Of course I suggest myself but there are also other wonderful hosts out there so I encourage you to shop around and find the one that’s best for you. Your new host should give you login information. There are 3 important things you’ll need:

  1. Server name (it’ll be something like ftp.hostdomain.com)
  2. Username (if you have a subdomain your username will always be username@hostdomain.com)
  3. Password

Once given this information, go to Net2FTP and you’ll enter that info like this:

NOTE: Leave the intial directory blank, you don’t need to worry about that.

If you have a domain please read this step! If not, you may move on to the next part.

If you have a domain you’ll see a bunch of directories when you first login but the one you want to go into is the public_html directory shown below:

Now it’s time to upload your files! To upload a new file, find the button that says “Upload” and click on it

You’re all done! Just keep repeating these steps and you’ll get your site up in no time!

You should now be at a page with upload boxes. Click on the browse button to browse through files on your computer, select them, and hit ok. Use the “add other” button to add more upload boxes

Once you’re done picking files from your computer to upload, make sure you click the green arrow to upload them or it won’t work.
